About Stratum Financial Group

Who are we

Stratum Financial Group is a South African firm of accountants and bookkeepers. Alongside the practice, the group owns operating companies across commerce, technology, property, financial services and asset management. We help individuals, families and businesses keep accurate records, understand their finances and take part in more than one business through a managed group structure.

What we do

Accounting, bookkeeping and multi-business ownership

Our firm provides accounting, bookkeeping and related advisory services. Each client receives reliable records, monthly management accounts, tax and statutory support and clear reporting, so they always know where their business stands.

Beyond the practice, the firm developed a model where clients can participate in more than one business at the same time. We structure the arrangement, coordinate the businesses involved, and coordinate banking arrangements with institutions such as FNB, Nedbank and Standard Bank, as applicable to each account and programme.

Through a single app, clients can see their monthly contribution towards multi-business ownership, shop from participating businesses, track their monthly spending and statements, follow their JSE participation where applicable, and receive reports and communication from the firm in one place.

Our values and mission

What guides our work

Integrity

We handle client money, records and reporting honestly and carefully, and we say clearly what we can and cannot do.

Accuracy

Dependable numbers are the foundation of every decision. We keep records, reconciliations and reports correct and current.

Accountability

We take responsibility for the work we do for clients and for the oversight we provide across the businesses in the group.

Clear communication

We explain financial matters in plain language, so clients can understand their position and make informed decisions.

Education

We believe informed clients and communities make better decisions, which is why education runs through our services and our Foundation.

Long-term thinking

We encourage ownership, saving, investment and planning that benefit individuals, families and businesses over many years.

Our mission is to provide dependable accounting and bookkeeping services, to help clients understand and participate in multiple businesses, and to connect people and businesses with the knowledge and structures they need to build sustainable financial futures. We are a member of SAICA, practising under practice number guidelines, and we commit 1% to 5% of consolidated profits to the Luthando Maduna Foundation.

Our philosophy

Ownership, participation and education

We believe ownership is central to financial wellbeing. People and businesses that own assets, participate in the economy and plan over the long term are better able to withstand setbacks and grow steadily.

Participation should be structured. That is why every arrangement we design follows the same path: consult, structure, bank, build or acquire, operate, account, monitor, report and grow. Each step builds the records, controls and reporting that make ownership understandable.

Education comes first. We explain what clients are participating in, what the risks are, and what the reporting shows. Ownership carries risk, and returns are never guaranteed. Our role is to make the financial picture clear so clients can decide with confidence.
